The Friends of the Rosendale Library generously purchases museum and park passes that Rosendale patrons can borrow with a library card. To reserve a pass, call or come into the library, or email us at info@rosendalelibrary.org. The passes allow for free entry into the following museums and parks*

Mohonk Preserve Passes
About the Preserve: New York’s largest nonprofit nature preserve. Please note the Mohonk Nature Preserve and the Mohonk Mountain House are two separate places.
Number of Passes: 2
Pass Details: Each pass is good for entry for 4 adults in one vehicle or on foot. Additional guests who have not checked out a pass will need to pay a $15/day fee for hiking or $20 for climbing, biking or horseback riding to access the Preserve. Children 12 years old and under are free and do not need passes when accompanied by an adult pass holder
Checkout Period: The checkout period is three days and passes cannot be renewed. There is a 5 day waiting period between when patrons can next check out a pass after it is returned. Passes must be returned in person to Rosendale Library on time or the patron will be billed for the full value of the pass.

Empire Pass
About the Pass: The Empire Pass is your key to all-season enjoyment at New York State Parks. Entry to most facilities operated by New York State Parks and the State Dept. of Environmental Conservation.
Number of Passes: 1
Pass Details: The pass allows one car entrance for unlimited day-use to most of the NY State parks, DEC forest preserve areas, boat launch sites, arboretums and park preserves.
Checkout Period: The checkout period is three days and passes cannot be renewed. There is a 5 day waiting period between when patrons can next check out a pass after it is returned. Passes must be returned in person to Rosendale Library on time or the patron will be billed for the full value of the pass.

American Museum of Natural History Special Exhibits Pass
About the Museum: Since its founding in 1869, the Museum has advanced its global mission to discover, interpret, and disseminate information about human cultures, the natural world, and the universe through a wide-ranging program of scientific research, education, and exhibition.
Pass Details: Each ticket is good for one special exhibit or show. Please note admission to the museum itself is free, but special exhibits cost money. You may checkout 2 tickets per library card.
Checkout Period: Tickets are non-returnable, you may discard the ticket after use.

Historic Huguenot Street Museum
About the Museum: At our 10-acre National Historic Landmark District in New Paltz, New York, visitors experience over 300 years of history across seven historic stone-house museums, a reconstructed 1717 French Church, the Huguenot community’s original burying ground, and a replica Esopus Munsee wigwam. Period rooms and exhibits tell the stories of a French Huguenot settlement as it evolved over time, and also reveal the history of the area’s Indigenous and enslaved African peoples and Dutch settlers.

Storm King Art Center is a 500-acre outdoor museum located in New York’s Hudson Valley, where visitors experience large-scale sculpture and site-specific commissions under open sky. The museum is open seasonally so please check the museum’s website before planning a visit.

Print Passes From Home
Museum passes are provided to Ulster County residents through the generosity of the Ulster County Legislature, Ulster County Libraries, and Friends of Library Groups. These passes are sent to your email and can be printed from home.
