Summer reading is for all ages!
From June 27 until August 31, the library will host a range of free activities for children, teens, and adults that encourage and support a love of reading. We will have performances for youth by Science Tellers and Page Turner–learn more here. We will advertise other programs through our website and facebook page.
Participants can win prizes for reaching their reading goals. Sign up for the summer reading program here. Download summer reading bingo cards for children, teens and adults and start your adventure. Find activities for the bingo challenge here. Bingo cards can also be picked up by calling the library 845-658-9013.
There’s a serious side to summer reading. Research has shown that reading over the summer prevents summer reading loss.
Studies also indicate students who read recreationally outperformed those who don’t. Students read more when they can choose materials based on their own interests. The Rosendale Library is committed to supporting lifelong learning and educational enrichment for all families.
