Celebrating the library's 50th Anniversary all year long!

August 27th - Friends of the Library Monthly Meeting - 7PM
September 2008
September 4th - 11AM - 8PM
- Annual Vote for members of the Library Board of Trustees and for the
Operating Budget. New expanded hours this year to make it even easier
to come out and vote to support library services in the Town of
Rosendale.
September 13th - Rosendale Library 50th Birthday Party at the Rosendale Community Center 1-3 PM: Come
celebrate with us and enjoy free food and entertainment! We will have
Birthday Cake, Ice Cream and drinks for all, along with Storytelling by
Carl Welden and music from Neighborhood Family Band with Debbie Lan. At
3PM we will draw the winners in our Raffle. Special thanks to our
donors and all who bought tickets! We welcome the entire community to
join us this day!
September 20th - Celebration of the Arts Event: Bookbinding Workshops - Book artist Tana Kellner and
bookbinder Christina Petrone will lead 3 two-hour workshops in which
participants will create a basic bound pamphlet and book structure.
Participants have the option of incorporating their writing from
earlier writing workshops into a book. Location: Women's Studio Workshop - Binnewater Lane, Rosendale, NY 12472.
10AM - Noon : Ages 9-13, Max 10 participants
10AM - Noon : Ages 14-18, Max 10 participants
2 - 4 PM : Adults, Max 10 participants
Fee $10 adults, $5 children. Please register at the library. Call 658-9013 for more information. Made
possible in part through a grant from the Dutchess County Arts Council,
administrator of public funds through NYSCA's Decentralization Program.
September 24th - Friends of the Library Monthly Meeting - 7PM
October 2008
October 19th - 50th Anniversary Luncheon 1-3:30 pm
at The Postage Inn, Route 32 in Tillson. $25 per person. Buffet luncheon,
Recognition Program and a reading by author Steve Huben from his new
book The Villagers . Paid reservations are now being taken at the library.
October 22nd - Friends of the Library Monthly Meeting 7PM
November 2008
No Friends meeting this month. Happy Thanksgiving!
December 2008
December 3rd - Friends of the Library Monthly Meeting 7PM Due to the Holidays, this will be our only meeting for November and December.
